WILD nature & art is a Charlie Alice Raya project and publishes printed works in support of nature projects, initiatives which bring people together, thinkers, artists, scientists and anyone really who wants to do their bit to shape a future for people and planet.
WILD nature & art is about to start with its first project on the Island of Usedom hence the German in the next column and the German catalogue.
HOW DID IT HAPPEN?
As so often: by chance. A friend of a friend on the Island of Usedom needed an extra person to legally set up a group which aims at bringing people together, enhancing communication and supporting artists.
And I thought: well, we could support each other financially if we set up a little Usedom postcard venture which would allow the group to pay the people they invite for workshops and other events and it would give me and my projects a budget, too.
Since I had been roaming the Island of Usedom much in 2025/26 and explored nature with my camera, I had a great variety of motives for our first trial.
The preliminary catalogue is now ready and the group is testing the water where a business might be interested in adding our postcards to their offers.

This is how it works. You contact me contact@ripples-publishing.com and introduce your project. If there are plenty of opportunities and an initial budget for me to explore your location and your project with the camera, we will discuss the details of a potential cooperation.
A fair warning. It looks pretty simple. Take photos, compile a catalogue, find locations who’d sell the photos, set up the logistics. It’s not particularly difficult. But it does take some months to get it all going. Once it is going, it should be a rather smooth and if enough locations sell the postcards, then the group will earn via its work for WILD and via donations to it. Presently it looks like around 16% percent of the intakes could become available as donation.

Hallo und herzlich willkommen zum ersten vorläufigen Katalog von WILD nature & art.
WILD nature & art veröffentlicht Postkarten, um local, regional, national und international Projekte und gemeinnützige Vereine und damit Denker, Künstler, Gestalter, Neugierige und Wissenschaftler zu unterstützen
Unterstützt werden vor allem Gruppen und Personen, deren Arbeit die Verbindung zwischen Mensch und Mensch und zwischen Mensch und Natur fördern, deren Einsatz die Wiederherstellung natürlicher Lebensräume ermöglicht und/oder deren Aktionen die Folgen der Klimakrisen pragmatisch und verbindend angehen.
Zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt wird WILD nature & art wahrscheinlich Teil des Charlie Alice Raya Projekts ripples publishing: www.ripples-publishing.com.
Auf der Insel Usedom ist die Idee für WILD nature & art spontan aufgekommen als es um die Gründung des Vereins InspiraTon ging und hier sind auch die meisten Aufnahmen entstanden. Es lag also auf der Hand die Idee eines kleinen Verlages, der für möglichst viele Menschen Wellen schlagen kann, hier auf Usedom zu testen.
Ich hatte das große Privileg 2025/26 viel Zeit in den Wäldern, am Meer und am Achterwasser der Insel Usedom zu verbringen und die Magie der Natur mit meiner Kamera zu erkunden. Max, der Labrador der Familie, war häufig mein Wegbegleiter und hat auch Eingang in diese Sammlung gefunden.
Es wird häufig von Naturschutz gesprochen. Ich denke manchmal: Vielleicht könnten sich mehr Menschen in die Natur verlieben, dann wären der Schutz und das Miteinander selbstverständlich.
Ich bin verliebt und hoffe, dass meine Fotos ein Stück dieser Liebe zur Natur weitergeben.
